Elder William Lloyd is a native of Nashville, Tennessee he received his undergraduate education at Tennessee State University (Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice).
His studies included the following disciplines: Counseling, Social Problems, The Family, Personal Adjustment, General Sociology, and Psychology. He grew up in Sunday School at the Little Zion Primitive Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Elder R. R. Vaughter where he confessed his belief in Christ at the young age of ten in 1960. He united with the Rose of Sharon Primitive Baptist Church in 1976 under the leadership of the late Elder Charlie R. Hooten and continued to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord. He served there as a ordained deacon for twenty years.
Additionally, he served as the Superintendent of the Sunday School, Bible Class Teacher, Trustee, and Church Treasurer. Elder Lloyd was licensed to preach in May of 2002, and ordained as an Elder in the Cumberland Association of Primitive Baptist in June of 2004.
Elder Lloyd is the Founder and Pastor of William Lloyd Ministries, which was constituted into a local Primitive Baptist Church by the name of The Lord’s Tabernacle Primitive Baptist Church in May of 2007. Elder Lloyd is son of the late Mattie Lloyd, the brother of Elder Richard Lloyd (Pastor of the Green Grove Primitive Baptist Church) a devoted husband, and the father of four sons.
